The incumbents will be brought down later this year. That much is inevitable and quite evident. But Imran Khan should not be hasty in seeking fresh elections without first reforming the entire electoral process and making it more transparent. The scrutiny of candidates should be a thorough and exhaustive process spanning over six months. Articles 213, 218, 224, 62 and 63 should be implemented in letter and spirit before the polling begins.
