The internet is falling over itself to criticise Arethas cover of Rolling In The Deep. Im going on the record to say that I hope to be rocking a strapless satin gown at 72 while covering songs written by someone who was 21 years old when they wrote them. Is the cover perfect? no, are you? Can you belt like Aretha? More importantly: Would YOU allow Cissy Houston to stand behind you looking bored and constipated while you wore a sleeveless satin gown?
