The irony is that I have a young child that lives 15 meters from the school. All he has to do is cross what was a relatively quiet cul de sac in a quiet suburban village to get home. Or he could virtually walk around the verge without even touching bitumen and onto the property .All he would need is observance monitoring. He is in now in extreme jeopardy if he attempted either of these this at start and end of most school days on his own. With the greatly increased amount of traffic, panic and selfish negligent attitude of some one driver per car non residential pick ups this cul de sac might as well be the F1 at these times. The amount of drive through stressed out pick up parents has increased 4/5 fold in the past 4/5 years. 14 parking bays by culling trees in Lovegrove will not assist this dilemma. Especially at the cost of many residents investments and location of home purchase . The safety issues of the local residents here is the most neglected. We are the ones that simply need to cross the street. Or have our children do the same. We are the ones that need to be able to get into or out of our own driveways and homes to ensure for our own childs safety. Other alternatives are there. They just need to be explored.
