The land claims in South Africa – and by Mr Mugabe in Zimbabwe - - TopicsExpress

The land claims in South Africa – and by Mr Mugabe in Zimbabwe - is in my opinion totally unethical. These claims are made for so-called “historical” reasons. But, if we really want to dish out land for historical reasons, then in fact the Stone Age people and Khoisan who lived with them in peace for 3000 years. They controlled the ivory and gold trade from the interior to the southeastern coast of Africa - long before the Gokomere people and Shona/Mashona murdered them basically out around 1400. Within one generation the wealth created by the Stone Age and Khoisan people had been abandoned – and the richest part of Africa became the poorest. The Nguni people arrived from Central Africa into Southern Africa around the early times of the 18th century and were responsible for further killings of the Khoisan. Today the Khoisan today is only found in the Kalahari. The White people actually arrived in 1652 and cannot be held responsible for driving the Khoisan into the Kalahari. The only people therefore that really can make any land claims are the Khoisan, but their claims will in all probabilities be ignored.
