The language of a politician----- Courtesy a good friend William (Bill) Bullock was a horse thief and train robber was sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1880. He escaped 1887and robbed the Montana Mail train six times. Finally caught by the Marshal he was convicted and hanged in 1889. The above biography of Bill were rewritten by his great grandson, Bartholomew (Bart) Bullock, a lawyer during his campaign for the Senate to explain his antecedents ..... My great grandfather Bill Bullock was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory. His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1880, he devoted several years of his life to service at a government facility, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1888 he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the government. In 1889, he tragically passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing suddenly collapsed." Bart sailed through to the Senate winning by a huge margin !
