The lapse security at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) in Benin, Edo State has resulted to a resident doctor’s vehicle stolen from the car park of the hospital this evening. The vehicle, a Black Toyota Camry, 2.2 model with registration number, BEN 331 USL; Engine number: 0408434-IMZ; Chasis number: 4T1BF22K5VU022072, belonging to Dr. Chinomnso Kanu, was stolen inside the Department of Community Health Department around 6pm today (Nigerian Time). According to the doctor, he parked the car in front of his department inside UBTH compound around 4;30 pm and went into the office to deal with some work and discovered it missing around 5:40pm. “I parked my car outside the department in the designated car park of the department and went into the office for a few minutes only to discover it missing when I came out,” he said when contacted by this reporter. Dr. Kanu is my twin brother and I would want you to know that this matter concerns me hence my appeal for help in re -broadcasting this message. Already, a report has been made to the Ugbowo Police Station in Benin, Edo State as well as to the Security department of the hospital under whose nose the theft occurred. If any information is gotten regarding the stolen vehicle, please contact Dr. Chinomnso Kanu on 080-3774-8219, the UBTH Chief Security Officer on 080-3581-0013, Mr. Ahaoma Kanu on 080-3748-7286 or the nearest Police Station.
