The last leg of dads journey has started. As his Niuean whanau bid him farewell, his Maori whanau make their way up to Mitimiti to lay him with his wife Chicken. Its been a journey of joy and discovery! Reiterative stories of his youth in Niue, the blended blessings he bought to his whanau, friends and work colleagues! Found he liked his home brew .....enjoyed re telling stories of our memoirs as kids, his far out driving styles??? Just his ability to open up and embrace people! Always looking out for them, always feeding them ...its his fault Im not a size 7! As the day goes into night, my thoughts go to my siblings and their children! The last night to rejoice in his being ! A time to cry, to remember, to celebrate his last leg and be with each other! Tomorrow he is laid to rest! Chicken! Youve been waiting some time...your partner of 40 years plus is about to join you! Keep my dad safe! I did what I said Id do Dad, the next challenge is on! Love you forever! My heart is still hurting, my kids and Pera will cotton me up, my nieces and nephews will wrap me in love, my brothers and sisters will keep each other safe, will continue his legacy and will stay strong to his wishes of loving each other and keeping it together for the next generation! Im so blessed to be part of a whanau that come from a line of strength and durability! You gave this to us dad! Well keep it together , remain united and continue to care and be there for each other ! Love you, miss you, kiss on your head! Happy times ahead xxxxxx
