The last question David Schmidt chose was Darla Cathcart Reeds that asked: I patched someone whose pain increased when I put IceWave on, but when I switched the tan patch to the right and white patch to the left, his pain came down. Id love to hear your explanation and how the patches could help his issue. DAVID: There are not enough specifics here for me to really comment. In one example, when pain is caused by a weakness in the tissue (such as a sprain), there is more pain relief by tonifying (strengthening) the site as opposed to sedating. So in this case, we would apply the white patch on the pain, and the tan patch in proximity. This is covered in the IceWave instructions.
