The last spring semester almost begins! Im trying to make a space for art, craft and food not-so-far-from-Musabi as my first business. Itll be a cafe actually, but neither a typical cafe where can display paintings or a white-cubed gallery. Itll be more social so that local/art field people can meet different kind of people. The name is Kissa Catoqui(喫茶catoqui). Catoqui(Katoki, 過渡期) means a trasition period! I didnt expect to be a director. It happened during my job hunting. I found my interest in connecting art to society, especially a local community. Crafts and food can bridge them. I saw the possibility in Harvest Festival of Tokyo University of Agriculture. Gathering young creators and finding a good room is going well. Making money is a challenging position. Weve decided to use crowd founding to collect ¥1,000,000 for our furniture and our uniform.
