The late, great Billy Hults was inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame tonight. I met Billy when he would come in to the New Old Lompoc, where I was bartending. On a slow afternoon hed entertain me, which all day bartenders love. I later found out he was a great washboard player. But he was also a writer, the organizer of Bud Clarks Mayors Balls, and a lot more. Smart, funny, and didnt seem to take himself too seriously.
