The late, legendary radio broadcaster Paul Harvey -- a fellow Oklahoma native and one of my personal heroes -- lost his father, a police officer killed in the line of duty, when he was merely three years old. Considering the tragic events that occurred yesterday, and the unconscionable smearing of the vast majority of law enforcement officers by some of the highest persons in our government, media and, regrettably, our churches, I felt it was appropriate to share this powerful commentary.
