The latest on Briwet Bridge from Gwynedd Council:- As you know, Pont Briwet is currently closed to all traffic whilst work continues to resolve the bridge settlement and the installation of a new temporary pylon. Gwynedd Council, contractors Hochtief, Network Rail and National Grid are working together to ensure the bridge reopens as soon as possible. This close collaboration has enabled National Grid to accelerate its programme to replace a pylon near the bridge, rather than having to re-close the bridge for an additional period in the coming weeks. It is anticipated therefore that it might be possible to reopen the bridge for rail and road vehicles from Monday, 25 November. Until then the bridge remains closed to all traffic.
