The latest reports on former Predator Rich Peverley is that he is at the hospital, and is doing well. The events of tonight immediately made me think back to a similar event that took place in a Preds-Wings game in 2006, when Jiri Fischer had a similar cardiac event occur on the Wings bench. Much like tonight, the team was quick to respond, and in both cases, the player was conscious after the initial event. Watching the Stars broadcast of the game, I have to give respect first to the medical staff of the Stars for their quick reaction, and they had Peverley off the ice in a matter of seconds after the event happened, and to the Stars broadcast team of Ralph Strangis and Darryl Reaugh for their handling of what was a scary situation.
