The laws concept of family rests on a presumption that parents possess what a child lacks in maturity, experience, and capacity for judgment required for making lifes difficult decisions. (Parham v. J.R., 442 US 584 (1978), at 602) Yet according to THIS judge and the LA Unified School District, this child doesnt have any such lack. Its one more attempt to rob parents of their natural purpose and let the children reap the consequences. Shouldnt someone be protecting these little girls legally? Or do you agree with the courts that they are able to be fully responsible for their own decisions?
