The legislative session starts tomorrow. Say a payer for your state and for your elected officials. Here are some specific things you can pray for: Many, many elected officials are starting new jobs. The Governor, LT Gov, Auditor, Treasurer, and Attorney General are all starting new tomorrow, as well about 50 legislators. That means they also have offices full of people starting new jobs. Theyre no different than you. There is stress and tension. Maybe even worry. Ask God for wisdom and discernment. Pray for legislators who are going to be spending weeks away from their families, farms, and businesses. Pray for the legislator and for their family, and employees, and their households well being. Pray for strength and energy to be able to work strong for the State of Arkansas for the next 3 to 4 months. Prey that can balance the demands or home and service, and work. Pray that we will represent you well. Pray that we can disagree but still love, that we will be respectful, yet firm, and that God would be proud of the way we conduct ourselves. Say a prayer of thanks. Because even if we dont always get the outcome we want from political and legislative processes, this is the best system on planet earth, and we are blessed to have it, and the freedoms that guarantee it.
