The lie that irks me the most is that "global warming is a hoax" -- which all these idiots say. No, it is not. It is very real and very serious. The denialism trend was paid for by fossil fuel companies. This is well-documented. The US government has done nothing substantial on this issue because of the denialism, which can be traced back to fossil fuel companies, and spread through the right-wing media and then by Internet idiots. I think is is as bad as Holocaust denial, because billions of lives are at stake, and already every year about 5 million people die from it (according to World Health Org.), and countless animals. So to deny it, which results in inaction on it, is criminal.
