The local paper is about to start charging for you to view content on their website. This is the beginning of the end of free mainstream content. Like major media outlets the corporate world will seek to control your information (bad side). (good side) I predict that this single process will propel a new industry of underground niche outlets. I guess what is funny to me is that they spin it as if they are doing it to reward their loyal readership. They are doing it to continue to keep that readerships $ and to get some from the online readership to make more $s. The main goal of any website is and always will be to solve a problem for their clientele! Be it information, service or a product people will as they do brick and mortar shops seek you out to obtain something that solves their problems.
