The lovely Maxine (seen here with her best friend and pack mate, RiffRaff the Cat) is spending her Australia Day in the Emergency Vet Hospital in Collingwood *sigh* The ?neck strain that occurred in late December, when her right ear hair mysteriously disappeared, has returned. She is usually a lively, focussed and responsive dog to everything that goes on around her. Over the last three days she has been whimpering when she moves getting increasing worse over time. She has also been very lethargic. So I took her to the emergency vet who thinks she is in severe pain either from a neck disc injury or a meningitis. Both of which are perfectly HORRID. They are managing her pain and she will be observed through the night. Tomorrow, a specialist will see her and order either an Xray or CT scan and or a lumbar Puncture to see what the problem is. Poor Maxine and Poor Me
