The macabre situation. Of recent four mayors within the Limpopo - TopicsExpress

The macabre situation. Of recent four mayors within the Limpopo Province, were, in a decision taken by the ruling party, be it provincial and or national, recalled from their positions, apparently not because of the relationship with either Julius Malema and or Kgalema Motlanthe. Amazingly, their capacities, effiency and or effectiveness within the ambit of the councils that they represented were irrelevant in substance in the consideration to keep them deployed in their posts at the time. The macabre (ghoulish, ghastly, grisly, chilling, gruesome) situation now having more questions than answers, taken the status quo of what has since transpired. The REC Sekhukhune has recommended three possible candidates to province for consideration to take over, specifically the vacuum left due to the recalling of Wendy Matemane within the Elias Motsoaledi Local Council. On closer scrutiny some startling facts actually come to the fore in respect of specifically two of the three candidates. The first – Mr. Jan Mohlala at present staying and or renting a room which in essence amounts to no fixed abode, and that in the decorum of a mayor for a specific council, does not hold water and or stature of good standing in society. His capacities, capabilities measured on his own personal circumstances stand in no good faith as testimony to his management style. The second – Mme. Julia Mathebe defected from the ANC some time ago, and joined up with COPE. In view of the leadership battle that existed within COPE, and the writing on the wall, that it as a consequence of this was losing support, she then deflecting once again from COPE to rejoin the ANC. If that is not jumping ship, or setting your sails to the wind at the time, one must be blind. To add insult to injury Mme. Julia Mathebe. was apparently also directly and or indirectly involved and or associated with a Ponzi scheme within Moutse in which citizens lost hundreds of thousands of Rands as a consequence. This is of no good testimonial to her. The third – Mr.Buurman Mogopudi Mphaga, being the only candidate that stands out with some relevant experience and capacities, in that not only does he hold a diploma in local government but also within the Mkhonto we Sizwe and ANC structure in the province, holds down a position of authority and good standing, which is characterized of his management skills, and persona to actually fill the vacuum now left by the recalling of Wendy Matemane. But amazingly the candidate of preference by the REC Sekhukhune that submitted the names, appear to be Mme. Julia Mathebe and this is once again a situation of either cadre, factionalism, cronyism, family, and or ‘reward’ deployment which in no way represents the most qualified, experienced and or equipped person to hold down the position and in line thereof contribute to good management, governance and service delivery that are so critically required to be delivered in the Sekhukhune Region
