The mantra “Africa is rising” has graced the covers of the Economist and Time Magazine, heck it has been the story of the last Five years even Coca Cola hoped into the bandwagon with their own version of “Africa is rising” campaign. Well not to say things haven’t improved on my beloved continent. Things have tremendously improved. Wars and hunger are now stories except in some few hotspots. Economies are growing although “void” of any meaningful job creation and real economic growth is still low since inflation is still high beta meaning more people still get trapped each year in poverty overall the continent has made huge strides. African youth are more than ready to set the trend rather than embrace it from their colleagues in developed worlds such is the confidence and confidence is a good thing!
