The morning after a long weekend of productions of The Haunted Widow Lincoln...I find I need to send massive thank yous out to so many people. The show was produced as a fund raiser for The Batavia Arts Council and it was indeed successful. We were hoping to have 50 tickets sold per night, and we exceeded that in a major way. First Thank you to Donna Latham for sharing her wonderful script with us. It was a first script, first production workshopped so that it can find a huge life on the stage of many theatres and we certainly hope it does!! We thank all the folks at The Holmstad Retirement Center for allowing us to use there auditorium space and letting us be guests in their home. You have a lovely facility and we were honored to there. A thanks to the Board of Directors of the Arts Council for their assist in working box office, concessions, ushering: Sharon Mitchell-Holtz, Irene Bond Anderson, Barbara A. Kalina, Jamie Saam, and Leigh Tracy and other board members unable to help but always in support Anne Gugliuzza and Dominic Cattero. The supporting crew who helped with lights, sound, props and costumes Charles C Palia Jr, Joseph S Pietrie Jr, Barb Alexander, Laura Marie Dwyer, Rachael Bright, and Mark Ellington. A special hats off to Craig Gustafson for some personal acting coaching, and to St. Charles North High School for equipment assists, and All Dressed Up Costumes for donating the costuming for the show. A quick thanks to the friends and family of everyone involved for helping run lines, and sharing them with us!! and to this amazingly talented group of actors brought together in the most random of fashions to put on a thouroughly entertaining production: Carrie Burkett Schafer, Carl Zeitler, Kyle Rath, Autumn Geist, Lea May Rivera, Ben Vargas. Rachael Bright, Galen Malick, Matt Heine, Dave Evensen, and Leigh Tracy. On behalf of the Batavia Arts Council we thank all of you.....what you have done will help us provide scholarships and grants to artists and for art projects in our community. Youe work is very valued and very appreciated. And to anyone I have missed...and to everyone who attended purchasing tickets to our event we appreciate you.
