The most ironic thing about Base 10 and Clustering maths. Is that it teaches number sense, and the people who dont understand it, think they have a case against it. LOL In what universe is it okay to say, i dont understand this, therefore we should not teach it? For real. Say you bought some groceries from the farmers market. The cost: $8.85. So, you hand them a $20.00. -no calculator allowed- ---what you DONT do is take out a pen and paper and subtract 8.85 from 20.00--- In my head(and most people), we observe that adding .15 cents to $8.85 would make $9. Plus $1.00 would make $10.00(which is half of $20.00). So, mentally we can observe that 10+1=11 +00.15>>> >[11.15]
