The most unusual and anoying thing happened to me today while I - TopicsExpress

The most unusual and anoying thing happened to me today while I enjoyed judging at the National Dog Show in Tallin,Estonia. During my break I was approched by my colegue judge,a very famous judge from Sweden. In front of at least three judges from different European countries he asked me how could I gave Best of breed to a mixbreed the previous day. I was literaly in shock. I would never expect such a verbal attack by any colegue and especialy not from a judhe from a country lile Sweden. Anyway, I went back to my ring. I dont have to explain how frustrated and angry I was after this. I tried to concetrste on my work and when I finaly finished judging (,76 dogs) I went to the secretary office and kindly asked them if they could look in the catalogue for the name of the dog and the country of residence. Since I was told that the dog was from Finland I kindly asked them if they could go to the Finnish Kennel Club site and print me out everything they can find about that dog. I was very pleasently surprised when they printed me out not 1, but 5 (five) pages for a dog that is two years old. I laughed out loud when I saw the achievement of that dog in just less than a year and a half. This particular dog that my dear Swedish colegue whom I will never ever again speak a word called a mixbreed has achieved untill now the following titles (copied from the ufficial database of the Finnish Kennel Club): Finnish Champion, Hungarion Junior Champion, Lithuanian Junior Show Champion, Latvian Junior Show Champion, Estonian Junior Show Champion, Baltic Junior Show Champion, NORDIC JUNIOR WINNER 2012, Finnish Winner 2012, Helsinki Junior Winner 2012, Finnish Junior Winner 2012, Swedish Junior Winner 2012, Lithuanian Junior Winner 2013, Latvian Junior Winner 2013, Tallin Junior Winner 2013, Tallin Winner 2013, WORLD JUNIOR WINNER 2013, Estonian Junior Winner 2013, Estonian Winner 2013 and Baltic Winner 2013. I was in shock again, but this time it was a good one. I simpli adore the Finnish Kennel Club web site. You can find anything you want just in a few seconds. The pefigree, show results, health results, just name it. This mixbreed dog has been shown by his owners in less than a year and a half just on Finnish soil 34 TIMES!!!!. Not counting all the shows abroad. He has all the health test results required by the Finnish Kennel Club. And then comes a wiseguy from one of the cinologicly highly developped countries and says that this is a mixbreed. But he didnt have enough balls to disqualify him, he just didnt want to give him the certificat and best of breed. I waited that this person finished his judging or whatever he was doing in the ring, gave him the 5 pages printed from the Finnish Kennel Club database and told him that I would be very careful about my statements in front of my colegues judges in the future if I was him and I realy suggest him to go through the standard of the king charles spaniel once again. Then I went for lunch and after I found uot that the same judge commented on one particular dog the day before in a very similar way, but of course didnt disqualify him but also didnt place him. This same dog won today BEST IN SHOW. So, can somebody explain me whats going on!? Is this maybe a new fancy thing to do invented by some clever mind or are we witnessing the beggining of the new species of judges: A BREED SPECIALIST FOR MIXBREED?????????????????
