The new Executive Committee of IVAO has now been appointed! The Executive Committee are responsible for the daily functions of the organisation. We wish the council members all the very best in their endeavours – a few words from the Executive Council. ^SH ---- To all our fellow IVAO members, I take great pleasure in speaking on behalf of the new Executive Committee/ Council of our worldwide organisation. Let me start by expressing our respect and extreme gratitude to the temporary Executive team (Max and Erwin) for their ideas and thoughts, dedication, hard work and exceptional contribution through the crisis within the Executive department since December 2013. We have achieved much together, and although you might not realize it, I can assure you that the temporary Executive department was one of the most prolific during their tenure! So, on behalf of the Executive council, we would to express my heartfelt thanks to Max and Erwin. One important part of these changes in leadership within IVAO, is the BOGs responsibility for overseeing the transition of the executive leadership and ensuring that the organization is well positioned to successfully continue its operations during these changes. Therefore, and to ensure that we have a smooth transition period, Max and Erwin will stay within the Executive department as Advisors (EXA1 and EXA2). This is a continuous process that assesses organizational needs and facilitates a climate for an organisation to succeed. Hence the necessary transition period between temporary and permanent Executive. Following the official appointment of the Executive Committee/ Council on the 8 June 2014. The Executive council appointed by the BOG consists of Achmad Ferdi Iskandar 277564, Giorgio La Pira 135071, Jeremy Rochefort 183272 and Marco Meerkerk 189994. The council will also consist of Max and Erwin as Advisors. Here is a short summary of the Executive department situation. End of 2013 was a year where we made continued progress in many areas. The focus still remains, improving communications between the EXEC and the BOG, between the EXEC and Senior departments, and also between the EXEC and Divisions. Succession planning, problem solving methods, and other areas remains our continued focus. We have already had a personal conference with each of the Executive staff members and the time was used to get better acquainted and to ascertain the goals and visions of each for IVAO. Together with the BOG, we continue to fill the calendar to address Executive General Conduct and Responsibility, Internal Policies & SUP Management and Policies. We wish to express our appreciation for all the well wishes from the community on our appointment as Executive Council members, your words of encouragement are appreciated. As we have just taken up our positions, we do need to ‘get our feet wet’ over the coming weeks so please bear with us during this transition phase as we adapt ourselves to these new roles. Rest assured that, as Executive Council members, our goals are aimed at the betterment of the experience for all IVAO users and we look forward to the task at hand. Again, our thanks to everyone.
