The new Merry Gentry novel, A Shiver of Light, is haunted for me. Its taken me a long time to realize that this book is hitting more of my own personal issues than any one Ive ever written. By 3:00AM last night I had twenty-five pages and was happily exhausted, but today I hit another ghost from my own past and Im back to struggling again. But Ive learned a lot about myself, and the past issues that still have more of a hold on me than I thought, sometimes you have to embrace your pain to heal it. Im back to writing, another long night ahead. Merrys personal demons and mine seem to be holding hands and trying to tap dance all over our hearts. Enough of this! Lets go demon hunting.
