The news of 3-week-old Eliza Delacruz’s death is both horrifying and heartbreaking. This tragedy has shaken the community of North Long Beach and I join in expressing my deepest condolences to her parents who are still recovering from their own injuries. The Long Beach Police Department is asking for witnesses and anyone who has any knowledge of this heinous crime to come forward. Today, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is expected to approve a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the capture of anyone involved in Eliza’s kidnapping and death. Anyone with information about the case was urged to call Long Beach homicide detectives Donald Goodman and Mark Mattia at (562) 570-7244.
