The next time you become aware of your own "failing of - TopicsExpress

The next time you become aware of your own "failing of faithfulness," think about this: You are exactly where, and as, you are supposed to be. What we often call "sin" is not so much "missing the mark" as it is "missing out on our share in" (the aionios zoe life of God). Sometimes the BEST thing that can happen to us is that we come to appreciate the presence of the aionios zoe life of God in us and through us as we fail to partake in it and of it. This quality of life is responsive, not reactive, sincere, not sarcastic, deliberate and measured, not impulsive. Each "failing" passage of our life, although painful, provides a greater opportunity for blessing. The temptation is to focus with remorse on the "sin" as we resolve to work our way back. God calls us to focus on the Son as He call us to receive what we lack. Blessings and peace.
