The nice thing about this Debe-Mondesir stretch is that the UNC is getting a taste of the bitter medicine that they and their supporters dished out to the PNM in the matters of the Waterfront Project, NAPA and SAPA - all viciously derided before and during the construction phase, but now in very heavy use by the UNC and its supporters. It will be the same thing with this Debe-Mondesir stretch. ALL the people who are criticizing it today as not necessary and falling for the nonsense that the HRM is feeding us about an alternative route will understand AFTER its completion that the Debe-Mondesir stretch is an excellent addition. The issues of contracts, corruption, nepotism and so on are different matters on which I can happily agree with most people. The environmental arguments Im absolutely not convinced by at all. Bottom line - NOBODY from Woodbrook, St.Augustine or DAbadie will tell me that the Debe-Mondesir stretch is unnecessary - that is a conversation Im not even having. The other stuff - yeah we could talk dat.
