The night before our Grand Opening and the kick off of Friday Night Lights, we at CrossFit 254 want to take a moment and reflect on the Tribute and WOD we are about to take part in. This workout is named for there brothers and coincidently, the three Wise brothers: After the September 11th attacks on our country, Jeremy joined the Navy and became a SEAL. Ben already in the Army became a member of the legendary Green Berets. Beau followed his brothers and joined the Marine Corps INFANTRY. Together they served over 1,600 days in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tragically Jeremy was killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan on December 30, 2009. Just over two years later, Ben was killed in a firefight in Afghanistan. Beau remains on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Today is the 3rd Anniversary for the tragic but heroic lose of Ben Wise and we at CrossFit 254 want to take the rest of the evening and tomorrow to remember his family and pray they become stronger together through the tough times of loss and sorrow. When completing the Ben workout: push harder and remember his family and the other service members deployed in many locations over the globe.
