The numbers game: 1. Im terrified of flying. I hate the complete lack of control. 2. This fear began on my honeymoon, on the way to London. I had too much time to think about how a plane could possibly stay in the air for that long, etc. I also got experienced a bad case of motion sickness during the last hour of the flight. Got off the plane and onto a train... Not the way you want to start your honeymoon. :/ 3. While flying to Dallas a few years ago, my plane was struck by lightening. The loud crash, slight jolt of the plane, and small flame (it went out almost immediately) that I saw shooting from the wing by which I was sitting, did not do much to help my eliminate my fear. I had to take extreme measures (extreme for me anyway) to make myself get back on the plane that night! Moving on... 4. I LOVE musicals and cry every time my girls watch one. I just try not to let anyone see me. 5. I hate to cry. However, tears seem to flow regularly since I became a mother (happy, sad and for no reason at all). When other people cry, however, I tend to freeze up or giggle, which is, I realize, extremely inappropriate and embarrassing. I guess its just my nervous response. 6. I drove my parents Lincoln Town Car through our garage wall when I was 14. I slammed on the gas instead of the brakes. There was barely a scratch on the car, but the wall was destroyed. 7. I once had a warrant out for my arrest. Brett decided to have a ticket I had gotten for speeding taken care of by an officer he knew. Something happened... I got a letter in the mail... 8. I only wear athletic socks. I dont like the way that other socks feel... The seams, the thickness, etc. Im also very picky about my other clothes. Ill take soft, flowy pants over jeans any day! 9. I like to dabble with writing songs, but the only people Ive ever really let listen to them are my girls and, occasionally, Brett (and thats a stretch for me). 10. Im a terrible eater. I practically lived on cheese, bread and potatoes for the first 18 years of my life. Mustard and cheese sandwiches, baked potatoes with cheese and cheese pizza were what I had for lunch on most days. I LOVE Coca-Cola and would almost rather drink a coke than eat anything at all. 11. I was terrified of babies before I had my own, but I now I wouldnt trade my babies for anything in the world! Being a mother is by far the most difficult job Ive ever had, but I cant imagine anything more rewarding!
