"The old order" Scripture Rev 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Observation We are living in the old order, where tears, death, mourning, crying and pain are lifetime experiences. Death breaks relationship and in a sense it is the same hurt and sadness that the Father must feel when we break relationship with Him. Jesus came to live among us and He experienced these things on our behalf. He knows what it is to cry, He wept over Lazareth who had died. He felt pain as nails were hammered through His hands and His back was stripped of its flesh. He faced death and complete separation from God, total loss of His relationship with the Father. He died and rose again to deal with the old order, which is legally null and void. We await, as does creation, for the new order. We long for freedom from broken relationships, a place where death and sadness are no longer present. This is in the presence of God and in the new heaven and earth which He will create. May we look forward to the new order that He will establish in a home that He is preparing for us.
