The older Armenian guy who runs the water store I go to interacts with his multi-cultural client base differently and it is awesome to witness. While I was there, he told a lengthy and apparently hilarious joke in Armenian and bid that guy farewell with words I wish I could even slightly approximate. Then he interacted with the Latin gentlemen ahead of me in a mix of English and Spanish and seeing him off with a hearty Aidos, amigo. Once it was my turn I was pleased to learn that, not only did he trust me enough as a customer to openly gripe about the woman who tried to claim that the six dollar Marlboro Special Blends were only three dollars just yesterday, but that some combination of my Aryan features and pickup truck earned me an adorably accented, See you later, Bro! upon my departure.
