The older I get, and the more I see the spirit of Christmas all around me every year; the more Grinch-like I feel myself becoming. I am of two minds about the holiday season. I love time with family and loved ones, but I absolutely loathe the material aspect of it. I love Christmas for the real reasons, but I hate it for retail reasons. The closer it gets, the more I dislike it. However, Im always overjoyed when I remember the real reason for the season. Im thankful for love, and the ability that it has to heal, even the grinchiest hearts.
