The one new nugget in Mr. Mastros expensive and exhausting (though hardly exhaustive) compilation is the acknowledgment that David Wildstein confirmed to Christies press secretary Mike Drewniak that he had spoken with Christie at the 9/11 commemoration, on the third day of the traffic study proving the need for three access lanes to the Bridge in Fort Lee--and that Wildstein had told the Gov about the success of the Fort Lee project. Christie has no recollection of the substance of the conversation, according to Randy Mastro, but what else would Wildstein have had to say to him--or been prouder to report? All of Christies PA boys grinning with him in that days photos were involved in the plot.
