The only reason I have`nt announced "Motown Disco Night" No 8 is because I can`t get a local club to accept us due to the influence that The Blakelaw Club and The Newcastle Labour Club are having on all the other local clubs. They tell the other clubs not to accept my application to hire their rooms, as I and my group are trouble makers. It seems that the other clubs must do what they are told or else they will be kicked out of the "Combine group of clubs" (or whatever they call themselves). I have been contacted by 10 clubs asking that I arrange them at their club, as they are not sheep and don`t allow The Blakelaw and Labour club to dictate to them. But these clubs are not local enough and are not really suitable for our LARGE following, so I have put everything on hold to try and get something local that will hold our numbers (300+). The first club that accepts us will realize that we cause no more (probably less) trouble than any other group of that size. The reason I can`t get a place is because of personal and political reasons not because we cause trouble. If one of the big clubs decide to give us a chance, they will realize what is going on. Many people have made attempts at copying our great nights out, but failed because of crappy music, crappy organization and lack of numbers at the door. I have compiled my own 100 song playlist and it has been strictly adhered to ( despite attempts by one DJ to "do as he pleased". He was soon sacked ). I have got the organizational skills and the right network of people to pull it off. So come on "West Denton Club"---Westerhope Excelsior Club... give us a date and I`ll sell the tickets.
