The only way institutions like the Natal sharks board can exist is on a premise thats a lie which is fueled by fear and hate . The way we have been indoctrinated into accepting this genocide through movies like jaws and the NSB brainwashing talks and dissections is truly amazing . How else would a parent put his whole family into a car to drive down to the sea and then demand that they only swim at a NSB protected beaches knowing that the chances of injury in the car ride down out way the chances of a shark attack at an unprotected beach by 1000 to 1 or more .They are willing to accept the one risk but not the other , why ? It goes even deeper than that . The indoctrination of our young minds into believing that the NSB is an echo friendly institution ,doing good for our communities and oceans ,occurs on a daily basis at the NSB headquarters where they give out their lies and propaganda to the young minds of our children daily . Here they cut up sharks like rag dolls , why dont they cut up the dolphins ,turtles and other sea creatures that they have killed in the same nets ? Why because , strangely ,there is only one thing that the NSB are absolutely SH?t SCARED of and thats the tree huggers and bleeding hearts of this world and these are the people that think that they can save our planet by saving the whales and dolphins ????yep they firmly believe this and pump millions into this endeavor . Coupled to this they have all the hotel industry , shops ,activities , restaurants etc etc conned into believing that they are essential to their existence ... To prove this just go to any seaside town that has the NSB system and stand up at a general meeting and say that the nets should be removed ... You had better have brought a body guard cause the reaction your going to get is going to be extreme !that is the real money behind the dead shark and its huge money and as long as the dead shark is worth more than the live shark they are doomed ! You only protect what you love ... Love what you understand .. Understand what your taught and as you can see from the above we are taught FEAR ! when it comes to sharks . An irrational fear that makes use of our natural fear for sharks .. Irrational because there are only about 12 attacks a year world wide , only aprox 3 of which are fatal ... Now ask yourself WHAT ARE THE CHANCES !!! Think about it ? R52 million from government and about the same again from municipalities to avoid on average 1 fatal shark attack a year in South Africa .. You could build schools , to educate our children , hospitals to take care of our aged etc !!! Think about it ? There is a place for safe bathing but it cannot be run by an establishment that has PROTECTION THROUGH ERADICATION as their modus operandi , they need to change and they need to do it now if they wish to continue existing ! They need to come up with REAL Eco friendly systems and save our oceans . The NSB is only a puppet of our governments environmental affairs dept and its this department that should be told that what they are doing is wrong . We should turn all SA waters into a shark park and ban all shark fishing in our waters ... Be the first country to do this and set a tone for the rest of the world !
