The origin of Bidriware is usually attributed to the Bahamani sultans who ruled Bidar in the 14th–15th centuries. Abdullah bin Kaiser, a craftsman from Iran was invited by the Sultan Ahmed Shah Bahmani to work on decorating the royal palaces and courts. The process of making Bidriware takes place in four steps 1-Casting 2 -Engraving 3-Silver or gold inlaying 4- Oxidizing To make one such piece it requires 8-10 days of hard work ,patience and skill. so gift something to your next generation so that they can remember you even after 100 years just the way we remember our ancestors. This unique surahi is a style of 17th century it is made from copper zinc alloy and inlaying with silver. The black base is due to the oxidization of zinc so this will not loose its shine and charm even after 100 years.
