The outpouring of support we have received about starting a volunteer delivery program for people who arent able to get to the Red Barn has been staggering; I am humbled to have so many customers who want to give back -- its a great feeling, isnt it? Were thinking of individuals who may be elderly, perhaps physically challenged, or who otherwise might struggle to get here themselves. Pete and I were just talking about our grandmother today--she lived for years at Kennebec Plaza and wasnt driving at age 95, certainly…she was exactly the type of person who might have benefitted from such a program, and she always loved to have visitors! We would like to take this a step further--we suggest having our incredible customers sponsor meals for people in need of this service. So we want to get the ball rolling right away -- please send us a message if you know anyone who would should be on our delivery list -- include the persons name, address and phone number…we will contact folks once we work out logistics. Also, any of you who would like to join Red Barn Cares by paying it forward this way can sponsor meals any time you stop by the restaurant -- just ask our front counter staff for details.
