The passion of awakening To arrive in peace and freedom, you must go by way of passion. The passion of truth liberates your whole being. This passion is unique because it empties us. As soon as we are sufficiently empty of the world, Life rushes in. Life is not the world. The mental, man-made world of delusion, cynicism, and denial (of love and truth) is an overlay upon the earth, the Nature that reflects our true nature. But the incoming light of consciousness shows us a new heaven and earth, and brings the mind into a divine simplicity. It is said that God rushes into a pure soul as swiftly as light pours in through a window. What makes the soul pure? Love of truth. Love of truth empties us of the false and reveals right values; values that make the mind light, clear, and insightful. Look deeply at your minds habits and your lifestyle. If there is a deep desire to know the truth and love of your Being, then consciousness will ensure that your life is aligned with that. Each increase in integrity and insight will lead to the next. Many think having a pure mind or soul is unnecessary for liberation, because All is one. Yet, making the mind clear enough to deeply recognize truth is actually the sole task of the seeker. It is a process that consciousness brings about, when it is the will of Self to know itself. Hearing this is part of that spontaneous arising. Without this foundation, epiphanies may come but will fail to deeply transform us. If your mind and heart retain false values, you will have only the skin of spiritual freedom, not the bones. Its the skin that talks. Bones walk. Until you get the bones, you cannot stand truly free. But when love of truth is in your bones, and the mind is made simple and luminous, then you stand, you walk, you dance in that freedom.
