The phrase find your new normal has been used for parents of child loss. Sometimes people get the idea that this is like looking in the yellow pages and finding a new home, a new vacation spot, a new doctor, or whatever. Believe me -- we wish it was that easy! Finding our new normal often takes years of hard work and even then were not jumping up and down with joy when we get to a more calm place in life following the loss of our child. Why? Because we NEVER wanted to lose our child! We NEVER wanted to have to search for a new normal! We simply wanted to have life remain as it was -- with our child right here with us! There is absolutely nothing easy about child loss!!!!
