The plastic bags a grocery stores produce section that you put - TopicsExpress

The plastic bags a grocery stores produce section that you put your fruits and veggies in are so they can handle, weigh, price and bag them for you. Once you have used the bag to transport your purchase home, its served its purpose. If you just put an unripped (vented) bag in the refrigerator, your tomatoes, grapes, whatever... will be garbage in a couple days. The moisture needs to escape, or they rot right away. Youre not letting the crisper do its work. Slobodanka Zakula is very close to being a perfect person. She doesnt give me much to complain about. But this fact, despite my best explaining efforts, hasnt sunk in to her pretty, Serbian head yet. If youre not going bother to take your items out of the enclosed bag, or rip it to vent it... I wish shed start the practice of just immediately throwing these things out once she gets them home, opposed to going through the process of always having them go soft in the refrigerator right away. If youre spending the money on it, either- eat it that day or the next, take a simple step to keep your new items fresh... or just toss them right away. Am I right? Am I ridiculous? ...Or both?
