The poem in this video is the only statement I feel led to make about the suffering Ive seen this year. It speaks my thoughts--on my disease, my friends diseases, the weighty suffering of my mothers family, losing Jenny, people losing husbands, wives, kids, grandkids, sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, and soul-knitted friends, what happened in Ferguson and Brooklyn, the awfulness of ISIS, Boko Haram, and a war-torn world. Dont miss this opportunity to give your Martha feet a rest, sit down, and do the needful thing which cannot be taken from you. Merry Christmas--for truly, oppression is operating on borrowed time. We know and won’t forget that Christmas is more than a story about sleigh bells jing-jing-jingling — Christmas is the beginning of the story where death itself gets killed. We know & won’t forget: Christmas is the story that turns around the story of suffering in our lives.
