At about 10.45am the two-year-old girl was sitting in a parked black Honda Odyssey station wagon 2012, NSW registration MEG080, next to Coffs Central Shopping Centre, Castle Street, Coffs Harbour. A man took the car with the girl in it. The car was last seen heading south on Gordon Street, Coffs Harbour. The man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait appearance.
