The primary election is over and my candidate (Rauner) won the GOP nomination for Governor. I sat at the KCGOP election night party and had to listen as they cheered on Dillard instead of Rauner. This is the second time in a row I have campaigned, (and won) my county for a candidate that my county GOP has actively rejected in support of another career candidate. I have heard from my associates in other counties that they experienced the same thing. The people spoke, once again, but the GOP leadership failed to listen (once again). Factoring in the crossover votes (Democrats voting Republican against Rauner) and looking at the margin of victory in most counties, Id say the message from our voters is pretty damn clear. ENOUGH! We will take back our GOP from the extremists, take back our state from the corrupt, and send a message all the way back to the GOP HQ that we are not sheep...we are decent people that want to reduce government spending while maintaining essential social programs. Our party is NOT for sale. Our values have NOT been lost and our voices will be heard. Corporations are NOT people..we are. Thanks to all that assisted me in this last endeavor and lets now go for the big enchillada...lets put Bruce Rauner in the Governors seat in 2014.
