The prison of time, by Tekena Ikoko I had always dreamt of the time I would fall in love But I was told that there was a right time for love So I wanted this time for love to last forever Surprisingly, without notice, I stumbled into love Hmmm, .... It had to be the long awaited time Whoa! How I wanted this time for love to be unending Shockingly, the sun rose up and I dropped out of love Jilted by a lover at a time I needed more love With pains, I wished for a time to get back to love But I longed for the time to heal from lost love It had to be a short wait for time Yet, each sunset left me with more lovers who had no love to offer. Now, I need time to find genuine love I need time to build myself in order to know lust from love Yesterday, I wanted time; I wanted love Today, I want timely love, and not love because of the times Id rather be prisoner of time, than a prisoner of love.
