The problem is not only with the Egyptian courts similar issues exist in every country where you dont have separation of powers or a democratic accountable and transparent political, judicial or security system. The victims are rarely foreign nationals or dual nationals rather they are the citizens of the said country whose cases go largely unnoticed by the international press allowing for easier silencing of dissent and criticism. I feel sorry for the lone Egyptian national journalist Mohamed and other egyptian political prisoners who will not benefit from high profile representation such as that provided by Amal Clooney. Such A long way to go and human rights activists are fighting alone....
