The project will take place in Jordan, and mainly be based on the internet and the social media platforms. Snapshot to Recycle! aims to get the people to take photos of problematic waste sites, to describe them, and to upload a photo, including the exact location. All those descriptions and pictures will become visible within seconds on an online map. To make this possible, the JES was able to establish a cooperation with Trashout from Slovakia. Being the first Arabic partner, the Jordan Environment Society is provided now with all necessary, technical requirements for this project. This mainly includes the application Trashout for smart-phones, which is available for free for IOS, Android, and Windows Phone. This allows everyone with a suitable device to become an active member in this project, to reduce the waste in Jordan, and to contribute to a sustainable environment. The usage of the application is simple - nevertheless the JES created an Infographic, presenting the most important steps for participating.
