The proposed 50p tax rate from Ed Balls-up has already been shown not to work, but he simply says that HM Revenue & Customs, who collect the tax, are wrong and that it actually raised £10Bn more than they said. Its certainly interesting that one of the architects of the recession is now claiming to know more about its effects than the people on the front line. Its just a shame that he refuses to accept any of the blame. Peter Kellner from pollsters YouGov said voters used to perceive Labour as nice but dim while the Tories were seen as smart but mean. The challenge for Labour is being seen by the public as nice and smart and getting rid of this idiot would be a good start.
