The question: What quality can you think of in your very own self of that deserves the word beautiful? My answer: Wow... I actually dont know how to answer this question. Im tempted to say my sense of humor but thats too easy. I think a quality within me that is beautiful but also insanely naive (and will probably be my undoing) is my persistent (but flagging) belief that our species, humanity, can do and be better. That the same minds that can conceive and build bombs can design and build schools. That we will stop doing horrible things to each other for money, power, and pride. That we have everything we need to feed, clothe, house, and educate everybody because its the right thing to do; a great social investment, not a purely financial one. And until that happens, I will need my sense of humor.
