The question yesterday was There was much controversy and frustration at a recent training about inverted step chocks. Whatcha got on that topic K-dub? My answer...an inverted step chock is a WEDGE. If I wanted a wedge, I would have used a wedge. I wanted a platform for the load to be resting on...cribbing. Step Cribbing was designed for rapid deployment to alleviate the large amounts of blocking need to make box cribbing. This particular usage of an inverted step chock, placed on top of a box crib and against the sheet metal of a bus...could be inviting disaster. I will go back to my comment yesterday of...I didnt know what to do, so i did this. It looks nice...I dont think it does anything except take up space and provide a false sense of security. My opinion...and we all can have one. Comments?
